Paelì Couture is a research-based studio dedicated to understanding how garments take shape before construction begins.
The work grows out of a classical Italian tailoring background, first developed through hands-on practice in a traditional family atelier and later refined through professional training in established Italian fashion schools. This formation is grounded in direct experience with the body, fabric and fitting, rather than in abstract or software-based systems. The studio’s research is focused on the female body, approached as a complex structural system rather than a standardized form.
The studio’s approach is centered on fit, balance and the many structural adjustments required to make a garment truly work: how it falls, how it supports the body, and how small technical decisions profoundly affect the final result. This practical knowledge forms the basis of the studio’s work with selected clients and collaborations, as well as the development of editorial guides and advanced workshops focused on construction, fit and structural clarity.
