Paelì Couture is a research studio dedicated to understanding how garments take shape before construction begins, where structure precedes form.
The method stems from a classic Italian tailoring background, initially developed through hands-on practice in a traditional family atelier and subsequently refined through professional training at established Italian fashion schools. This training is based on direct experience with the body, fabric, and fit, rather than abstract or software-based systems.
The studio examines the female body as a complex structural system rather than a standardized form. Measurement is treated as an analytical process, a tool for interpreting proportions, balance, and volume, and for defining the basic structure of a garment before its execution.
Paelì Couture’s approach focuses on fit, balance, and the structural adjustments necessary to make a garment truly work: how it supports the body, how it moves, and how technical decisions influence the final result. This includes experience with non-standard and transitional bodies, which require adaptive metric interpretation and structural problem solving.
This research translates into the development of editorial guides and advanced workshops focused on construction, fit, and structural clarity.
Some works have been presented at the Venice Biennale and documented through professional editorial photoshoots.
Paelì Couture operates between Italy and Denmark.
